Continuing the legacy of Elissa M. Fuchs

We mourn the loss of Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre’s founder, Elissa Fuchs.  At the age of 103, Ms. Fuchs took her final curtain call, passing peacefully to dance on the grandest stage of all.  An artist to the end, she was always proud to watch videos from BRBT’s recent performances, knowing that she had created a lasting legacy in the dance community of Baton Rouge.  We are very pleased to create a scholarship in her name to support dancer training at the highest level, ensuring her impact for years to come.
