Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre will cast local children from 3rd through 8th grade as lambs, cherubs, mice, cooks, toy soldiers and party children in this treasured holiday production.  Don’t miss your chance to experience the magic of performing on stage with the Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre!

AUDITION SCHEDULE:

  • 12:30 – 1:15 p.m. Boys 3rd grade & up
  • 12:45 -1:30 p.m. Girls 3rd grade
  • 1:45 – 2;30 p.m. Girls 4th grade
  • 2:45 – 3:30 p.m. Girls 5th-6th grade
  • 3:45 – 4:30 p.m. Girls 7th-8th grade

*Children must be in 3rd grade to audition.

Audition fee: Prepay at $15  For ease and speed of your child’s check in, we ask that you pre-pay the audition fee (If paying onsite, audition fee is $20-cash or check only.)

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled audition time.  Wear a leotard, tights, and ballet slippers.  Boys can wear comfortable athletic clothing and sneakers.

Other important details:

  • The role of Clara is reserved for eligible members of BRBT Youth Ballet program.
  • Rehearsals with our professional artistic staff are on either Saturday or Sunday from mid-October until the week of the production. Rehearsals are one to two hours long, depending on the role.   One to two night rehearsals will be required from December 16-19.  Any absences must be approved by the director in advance.
  • A small participation fee is charged and costumes are provided.
