as a member of the Cast!

Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre will cast local children, ages 8 to 12,  as lambs, cherubs, mice, cooks, toy soldiers and party children in this treasured holiday production.

Auditions:

Sunday, September 29th, 2019

12:00-12:45 p.m. Boys 8 years* and up

12:45-1:15 p.m. Girls 8 years* old

1:30-2:15 p.m. Girls 9 years old

2:30-3:30 p.m. Girls 10 years old

3:30-4:00 p.m. Girls 11-12

*Children must be 8 years old by December 31, 2019.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled audition time.  Wear a leotard, tights, ballet slippers and know your current height and weight.

Company Auditions

Advanced dancers with at least 2 years on pointe

  • The children’s roles of Clara and BonBon are reserved for eligible members of BRBT Youth Ballet program.
  • $10 audition fee per dancer.
  • Mandatory rehearsals with our professional artistic staff are on either Saturday or Sunday from mid-October until the week of the production. Rehearsals are one to two hours long, depending on the role.
  • A small participation fee is charged and costumes are provided.
  • Children must be 8 years of age by December 31 to audition.
  • Girls should wear leotard, tights and ballet shoes, with hair in bun.
  • Arrive 15 minutes early in order to fill out paper work. Parents should be able to provide their child’s height, weight and garment size.
