We are re-opening Clara’s Closet!
Benefitting in-need families participating in The Nutcracker – A Tale from the Bayou!
Because we want EVERYONE to join the fun!
This program, put in motion by BRBT alumna Carolyn Herman, was a great success last year in raising funds for families and dancers who needed financial assistance to support their performance in The Nutcracker – A Tale from the Bayou. The tradition continues under the leadership of two company dancers, Ivy Jiang and Caroline Weise. Funds raised will provide tickets for families to watch their children perform along with some fun extras such as commemorative T-shirts, Nutcracker dolls, and a backstage photograph package. We hope to share our love of dance with others who might not otherwise be able to enjoy the joy of performing in this magical show!
Clara’s Closet will collect gently used clothing, purses, shoes, and other accessories for all ages. Dance clothing, such as leotards, ballet shoes, and jazz shoes, is also greatly appreciated. Clean, gently used items can be dropped off anytime at the Dancers’ Workshop in garbage bags (10745 Linkwood Ct.).
Monetary donations are also appreciated at the link below. Check donations should be made out to BRBT with “Nutcracker Scholarship” in the memo line and may also be dropped off at the Dancers’ Workshop.
